AP Test

Today was the AP test. It was ok....I think I did pretty good. The multiple choice was the hardest part. I have a song for today, that has gotten me through this class (And hard days):

I first fell in love with the song when my best friend Sarah and I watched a youtube video. It was about Harry Potter and this was in the back ground, and right as it hit the loud chorus, the video of Hermione hitting Draco came up. We laughed and laughed, and I listened to it ever since. Today has been a bad day for me. I've been sick and my grandpa went to the hospital at 2am. I really don't want to go into details. But it's been hard and music is my only output. On Glee last night the character Rachel lost her voice for a little bit. My cousin, Charlene was reminded of me when she said, "I'm like tinkerbell...I need applause to live." I need music. It needs me. So this is my Wednesday. Oh and I get to go take a practice AP test. Yay me...

Poem Thursday: Silence

I have recently starting writing again, and to get myself to keep writing I am going to post some recent poetry I've written, every Thursday. Comment whether you like or not. I love all criticism! I will also give a little background, but I want you to interpret as you will. :D

I wrote this last night, it's pretty easy to figure out.

Silence

The silence is deafening,
People can be annoying,
Music is my air.

Silence gets you no where,
People can be stupid,
Music is beauty.

Silence tears me apart,
People aren't smart,
Music puts the pieces together.

Prayer

Prayer is the soul's sincere desire
Prayer is the burden of a sigh
Prayer is the simplest form of speech
Prayer is the Christian's vital breath
Prayer is the contrite sinner's voice

I love this song that my seminary teacher showed us today in class. It spoke so much too me. Maybe it's because its in song. Maybe I am supposed to speak through song. And I know Zoe, you agree with that. <3 I've always loved music. And prayer I think isn't much different than writing a song. You think about it before, and the words just come, when the Spirit guides you. Prayer and song writing is also from the heart. And knowing that prayer is like a song, it just makes it so much more simpler to me. When I pray I never know what to say, but I just try to listen to the spirit. Now I'm not saying, I am going to sing my prayers, but if I'm having a hard time with praying, why not? :D
